In the late summer of 2020, in Jackson, Mississippi, a dispute over vehicle repairs escalated into a fatal encounter, claiming the life of 40-year-old Gregory Stovall. On August 27th, Stovall was inside a home when he was shot multiple times. The incident marked the third homicide in the city in less than a week.
