On a tragic day in Jackson, Mississippi, a 30-year-old Black man named Jeremy Latray Easterling was killed. The incident, which marked the city's 100th homicide of the year, occurred on December 2, 2024, at the Crown Motel located on Boling Street. Easterling was fatally shot multiple times during what authorities have described as an armed robbery. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
