In the autumn of 2020, a life was tragically cut short on a Tuesday evening in Jackson, Mississippi. Eddie Goliday Brown, a 28-year-old Black male, found himself in a fatal altercation on October 20th. The incident unfolded just before 8:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Raymond Road. An argument escalated to a point of no return, and Brown was fatally shot. His death marked the 107th homicide in the city that year.
