In the autumn of 2020, a young man's life was cut tragically short on a street in Jackson, Mississippi. LaFrance Vaughn, a 23-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the afternoon of Saturday, October 24, 2020. The incident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. in the 3300 block of Bailey Avenue, a moment that shattered the peace of the neighborhood and left a family grieving an immeasurable loss.
