Katrina Pitts, aged 41, tragically lost her life on October 24, 2020, in Greenwood, Mississippi. She and her brother, Jonathan Pitts, 42, were attending their grandmother's funeral when a mass shooting occurred during a post-funeral gathering. The siblings, along with other family members from Chicago, were outside a home when an unknown assailant opened fire, resulting in the deaths of Katrina and Jonathan, and injuring eight others.
