On January 14, 2024, 35-year-old Jessica McClain was fatally shot in her apartment at 1304 Roosevelt Drive in Greenwood, Mississippi. Responding to reports of a shooting, Greenwood Police officers discovered McClain with at least one gunshot wound.

The primary suspect, 30-year-old Lavorris Gilbert, who resided with McClain, was arrested shortly after the incident. Initially charged with aggravated assault, Gilbert's charges were later upgraded to murder following the results from the M ...Read More
