In the early hours of August 2, 2023, just thirty minutes after celebrating her 32nd birthday, Kendra Nicole Crockett was killed in a drive-by shooting in Greenwood, Mississippi. A resident of Itta Bena who had been staying in Greenwood, the 32-year-old female was on the 400 block of McGehee Street when she was struck by gunfire.
