Ashton Walden, a 9-year-old boy from Canton, Mississippi, tragically died on June 2, 2021, after being accidentally shot in the head by his 2-year-old sibling. The incident occurred on Hargon Street in Canton while Ashton, his 10-year-old brother, and his 2-year-old sister were left inside a car by their mother and her boyfriend, who were visiting a friend nearby. The toddler found a gun under the seat of the car and accidentally discharged it, resulting in the fatal injury to Ashton.
