Nathan Carter, a 50-year-old Army veteran, was found deceased in his vehicle on July 24, 2021, in Meridian, Mississippi. The vehicle was located in the vicinity of the Village Apartments and a CEFCO convenience store on Mosby Road. An investigation into his death determined that he had been fatally shot.

Subsequent police work, which included the review of video evidence, led to the identification of a suspect. A 16-year-old female, Saharra Carr, was identified as the shooter. Authorities ...
