In the early morning hours of a Saturday in Greenwood, Mississippi, the life of 22-year-old Leonard Edwards was tragically cut short. On October 16, 2021, Edwards was fatally shot outside of his own home on Luther Drive. The violent act sent ripples of shock and grief through the community as the Leflore County Sheriff's Department began the arduous task of piecing together the events that led to the young man's demise.
