In the late hours of a December night in Hermanville, Mississippi, a burst of violence shattered the community's peace. On December 30th, deputies from the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a residence on Highway 18 after reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival at approximately 11:47 p.m., they discovered a male victim who had sustained what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The man, identified as 43-year-old Morques Johnson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
