In the early hours of August 4, 2024, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, 31-year-old Markaz Moye was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. in the 600 block of Eastside Avenue. When Hattiesburg Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Moye suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
