On April 15, 2024, at approximately 11:09 p.m., deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of gunshots near Coyote Creek in Hawaiian Gardens, California. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 28-year-old Markus Christopher Michel near a creek bed, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
