On the evening of March 14, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in a Jackson, Mississippi neighborhood, leaving two young men dead in what police would later describe as an ambush. One of the victims was 27-year-old Eric Washington. He, along with 23-year-old David Wilburn, was fatally shot at the intersection of Locksley Drive and Forrest Avenue.
