An argument over a cell phone tragically escalated, leading to the death of 35-year-old Allena Leona Allen in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident unfolded on a Sunday evening at the Raintree Apartments located on Bailey Avenue. Responding to a call, Jackson Police Department officers arrived at the scene to find that a woman had been shot following a heated dispute.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the argument over the phone had turned violent.
Allen was shot during the altercation and was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
In connection with the fatal shooting, authorities arrested 27-year-old Claude Gully. He was taken into custody by the Jackson Police Department and has been charged with murder in the death of Allena Allen.
