In the quiet hours of an early Sunday morning in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the life of 17-year-old Cameron Deon Jefferson was tragically cut short. On October 30, 2022, Jefferson was behind the wheel of his vehicle at an apartment complex on Blossom Lane when he was struck by gunfire. The momentum of the car, no longer under his control, carried it forward until it collided with a tree. First responders arrived to a scene of violence and wreckage, where Jefferson was pronounced dead.
