Margarita Navarette, a 20-year-old resident of Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot on the night of February 26, 2011, in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the 4200 block of West Crystal Street. Margarita was among two victims, with the second victim, a 19-year-old male, also suffering gunshot wounds but surviving in critical condition.
