Charnella J. Lemon, age 20, was shot and killed on September 29, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident took place in the Fernwood neighborhood on the far South Side. Lemon was sitting in a parked vehicle with 33-year-old Terrence Carter when an assailant approached on foot and opened fire. Lemon, who was pregnant, was struck three times in the chest.
