On Mother's Day, May 8, 1994, a night of socializing turned tragic for 19-year-old Mario Valentino 'Tino' Brooks. The young man from Duncan, Oklahoma, was at the Family Barbecue Social Club just outside of Tatums with his older brother, Corey. A festive atmosphere descended into chaos when a fight broke out. The altercation escalated horrifically when a gun was drawn and fired into the crowd. In the ensuing pandemonium, four individuals were injured, but it was Tino who suffered a fatal gunshot ...
