In the early spring of 1997, a grim discovery was made in an isolated shed just across the state line in Melrose, Kansas, bringing a week-long search to a tragic close. The bodies of 19-year-old Sarah Monique Palmer and 33-year-old Harmon Samuel Fenton, both residents of Commerce, Oklahoma, were found in the bed of Fenton's pickup truck on March 5, 1997. The two had been missing from their home for over a week, sparking concern among their family and friends.
