In the spring of 2015, a violent act cut short the life of 19-year-old Cristal Gutierrez-Garza in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On the evening of April 30th, she was driving a car in downtown Tulsa when she was fatally struck by a bullet in what authorities described as a drive-by shooting. A male passenger in the vehicle with her at the time was unharmed. The incident unfolded as a tragic consequence of a dispute that did not directly involve her.
