In a tragic turn of events on a Tuesday evening in Oklahoma City, a domestic dispute escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving three family members dead. On March 13, 2012, police were called to a residence at 1925 NW 15th Street around 6 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene.
Inside the home, officers found the bodies of 35-year-old Claudia Aguilar, her estranged husband Juan DeLos Santos, 43, and their young daughter, 5-year-old Evelyn DeLos
Santos. Investigators determined that Juan DeLos Santos had fatally shot his wife and daughter before turning the weapon on himself in a violent murder-suicide. The weapon used in the incident was recovered at the scene.
According to relatives, the couple had been in the process of a divorce, and tensions had been high.
