In the summer of 2015, the community of McAlester, Oklahoma, was struck by a violent act that ended the life of one of its own. Clayton DeWayne Nelson, a 29-year-old White male, was killed by gunfire on Friday, June 26, 2015. The incident that led to his death took place in the nearby Tannehill area, leaving family and friends to mourn a life cut short.
