In August of 2016, a tragic discovery was made at the One Eton Square apartment complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma, bringing a swift and violent end to the life of 20-year-old Mohammed Tareq. His body was found concealed within a sleeping bag inside one of the apartments, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The grim finding launched an immediate homicide investigation by the Tulsa Police Department.
The investigation quickly led to a person of interest who was present at the
apartment when law enforcement arrived. An 18-year-old male named Jakhai Adams was taken into custody for questioning in connection with the death. A witness had reported a shooting in the vicinity of the apartment complex, which guided the police to the location.
