On May 18, 2023, 28-year-old Jeffrey James "Buke" Allen III of Dayton, Ohio, was fatally shot at the DMAX engine plant in Moraine, Ohio, where he was employed. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. and was reportedly the result of a domestic dispute between Allen and a fellow male employee over a female colleague.
