Valentine Mbah, a 46-year-old resident of Dayton, Ohio, was tragically killed on December 31, 2003, during an armed robbery. Mbah was shot in the parking lot of the liquor store he owned and operated, located at 3025 Salem Avenue in Dayton. The incident occurred late on New Year's Eve, shortly after Mbah and his son had closed the store for the night.
According to reports, Mbah was accosted by a male suspect in the parking lot, and during the confrontation, he was fatally shot.
The Dayton Police Department has been investigating the case, but despite efforts, the identity of the shooter remains unknown. The homicide is listed as an unsolved case, and law enforcement has continued to appeal to the public for any information that could help bring the perpetrator to justice.
