On November 19, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., 30-year-old Jordan Isaiah Ashe was fatally shot outside the Palms Lounge and Grill in Harrison Township, Dayton, Ohio. Ashe, an off-duty security guard at the establishment, was assisting in escorting a patron, later identified as 40-year-old Talbert Lawrence Grooms Jr., from the premises following a disturbance.
