In a heartbreaking turn of events that shook the community of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, six-year-old Jacob Robert Dickerson was found deceased in his home on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Concerns arose when the young boy did not show up for school and family members were unable to get in touch with his mother, Jennifer Renee Dickerson. This led to a welfare check at their residence near Sapulpa.
Upon entering the home, law enforcement officials made a grim discovery.
Young Jacob and his mother were found together in a bed, both having succumbed to what appeared to be single gunshot wounds. The scene tragically suggested a murder-suicide, with authorities believing Jennifer Dickerson fatally shot her son before taking her own life.
