In the warm evening of July 9, 2017, the lively atmosphere of a softball game at Crawford Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was shattered by gunfire. Amidst the chaos of a large disturbance that erupted during the social event, 20-year-old Chantel Marshay Mack, a Black female, was tragically shot. She was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries, her life cut short in a senseless act of violence. Another individual, 49-year-old Michael Daniels, was also killed in the shooting.
