Forty-year-old Linda Sue Kozushko had been in a vehicle with her boyfriend on October 17, 1992, when an argument erupted between them. The disagreement prompted Kozushko to exit the vehicle at 1600 S. 177th E. Avenue and begin walking north along the east side of the street.
As she walked alongside the road, a full-size white pickup truck with a camper shell struck her.
The force of the impact caused significant injuries. Although she was transported for medical care, Linda Kozushko succumbed to her injuries later that same day.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain an open investigation. According to the account provided by her boyfriend, who was present at the scene, Kozushko was hit by the passing pickup truck. Law enforcement has not publicly identified a driver or made any arrests in connection with her death. The case has since become a cold case, with the Tulsa Police Department continuing to seek information from the public that might shed light on the events of that night and bring closure to the decades-old case.
