In a tragic turn of events following a Cinco de Mayo party in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 22-year-old Pricila Ochoa was found deceased on Sunday, May 6, 2018. She and another woman, 27-year-old Amber Dawn Foreman, were discovered in an apartment, both victims of an apparent shooting.
The discovery was made after family members of Rolando Morales, the resident of the apartment, received a disturbing text message from him containing a photograph of the two deceased women in his bathroom.
Morales allegedly indicated his intention to dispose of the bodies. Alarmed, his family contacted the police. Upon their arrival at the Westminster Apartments, law enforcement surrounded the unit and were able to make contact with Morales, who surrendered without incident.
Inside the apartment, investigators found the bodies of Ochoa and Foreman. The events leading up to their deaths began at a party hosted by Morales the previous night. An argument reportedly broke out after one of the women asked Morales' children to get more alcohol. This seemingly minor disagreement escalated, with Morales allegedly retrieving a shotgun and waving it around, causing other party guests to flee.
Further investigation revealed a grim scene, with evidence suggesting that Morales had attempted to dismember the victims with a machete. In an effort to conceal evidence, he also allegedly set one of the victim's rental cars on fire. Following the gruesome discovery, Rolando Morales was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Pricila Ochoa, a graduate of Muskogee High School, was remembered as a fun, outgoing, and loving daughter, sister, and friend. She had attended ITT to become a Medical Assistant, a profession that allowed her to fulfill her passion for helping people. Her life was celebrated at a funeral service on May 12, 2018, followed by her interment at Greenhill Cemetery.
