Do you know who murdered Lisa? On a June day in 1979, 17-year-old Lisa Ann Henderson, a high school senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma, left her home with aspirations of a modeling career. She was last seen on June 1, 1979, getting into a maroon 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo. The vehicle, which had noticeable damage to the driver's side and was missing its hubcaps, was driven by a man she believed was taking her to a modeling job.
Ten days later, on June 11, 1979, the search for Lisa came to a tragic end.
Her body was discovered in a ditch in Wagoner County, approximately 27 miles from her home. An autopsy revealed that the young woman had been shot to death. In an attempt to destroy evidence, her body had also been set on fire.
The man Lisa was last seen with was described as a white male in his 40s with a very pale complexion and thinning dark hair. Despite this description, no arrests have ever been made in connection with her murder. The case remains an unsolved cold case with the Tulsa Police Department. A significant reward is being offered for any information that leads to the capture of her killer.
