On a tragic day in May of 2019, the life of 26-year-old Joshua Andre Smith was cut short in a burst of gunfire at a Tulsa, Oklahoma apartment complex. The incident, which unfolded on Monday, May 20, at the Red Fox Apartments near 16th Street and Memorial Drive, also claimed the life of 23-year-old Marco Celestine Jr. and left two others wounded in what was described as a quadruple shooting.
Initial investigations by the Tulsa Police Department suggested the shooting may have stemmed from
a domestic dispute. The violent encounter left a community shaken and authorities searching for answers. In the days following the shooting, law enforcement officials worked diligently to piece together the events that led to the deadly altercation.
The investigation quickly led to a suspect, and 20-year-old Kaleb Young was arrested in connection with the double homicide. Following his arrest, Young was charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Joshua Andre Smith and Marco Celestine Jr.
