In the early hours of July 23, 2019, a dispute in a north Tulsa convenience store parking lot tragically cut short the life of 47-year-old Soconda Boyd. Known affectionately as 'Candy,' Soconda was a mother who friends said was actively trying to turn her life around. That night, however, she became the victim of a fatal shooting that would later be ruled a homicide by the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
