In the late summer of 2019, a Tulsa, Oklahoma community was shaken by an act of violence that claimed the life of Elijah Lindsey, a 39-year-old man. On the evening of Saturday, August 24, what began as a quiet night turned into a scene of tragedy when an individual, suspected to be a home invader, broke into Lindsey's residence. During the course of this intrusion, Lindsey was shot in the head, sustaining a critical injury that would ultimately prove fatal.
