On May 31, 2009, 52-year-old Karl Chilcoat was brutally murdered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chilcoat, who was homeless at the time, was attacked by 17-year-old Carlos Molina-Alvarez, who repeatedly struck him with a rock, crushing his skull. The attack appeared to be unprovoked, and Molina-Alvarez was charged with first-degree murder, facing trial as an adult.
