Roth Lane Gibson, a 19-year-old male of Caucasian / White ethnicity from Tulsa, Oklahoma, spent the evening of May 18, 1990, in the heart of downtown, not far from the cluster of office towers and hotels that framed the city’s skyline at the time. Public records and later memorials identify him simply as Roth Lane “ZZ” Gibson, a young man on the cusp of adulthood whose life would come to be defined in official files by a few stark lines about time, place, and cause of death.
