Manuel “Uel” Carrillo was a 54-year-old man living in Tulsa, Oklahoma when his life was cut short at the very beginning of 1993. In the early hours of January 3, he ended up in a vacant lot tucked behind the Pit Stop convenience store on North Peoria Avenue, a busy corridor that cuts through north Tulsa. Later that day, someone came across his body lying in that lot, behind and just east of the store at 1627 N.
