Do you know who murdered Steven? On a summer evening in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the life of a young African-American man, Steven Daniels, was tragically cut short. On June 12, 2010, the 19-year-old was at his home, simply watching cartoons in his living room, when the sound of gunfire shattered the peace. An unknown assailant, or assailants, fired multiple shots into the house, striking Steven.
Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
Steven, born on January 18, 1991, was known to his loved ones as 'Stevie Wevie' and 'Steve Bo.' He was a talented and accomplished wrestler, having started in the sport at the tender age of three. His skill and dedication led him to become a six-time state champion, a world champion in 1998, and a two-time national champion. As a high school freshman, he was a state runner-up. Beyond his athletic prowess, Steven was remembered for his love of music and spending time with his family.
In the wake of the shooting, the Tulsa Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. However, the case has grown cold over the years, and the killer or killers have never been identified or apprehended. Detectives continue to seek information from the public, hoping that someone will come forward with the key piece of evidence that will bring justice for Steven and his grieving family. The senseless act of violence that ended a promising young life remains an unsolved crime that continues to frustrate investigators.
