On the evening of June 11, 2021, Larry McDowell, a 28-year-old Black male, was at an outdoor gathering in southwest Oklahoma City when his life was tragically cut short. The incident unfolded in the 6200 block of S. Douglas Avenue, near Western Avenue and SW 59th Street. It was here that an unknown individual or individuals began firing into the crowd of people.
