In the late afternoon of August 12, 2022, the life of 28-year-old Jerry Dozier was cut short in a fatal shooting in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. inside a residence in the 5500 block of Northwest 37th Street, near Ann Arbor Avenue. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered Dozier deceased inside the home.
The Warr Acres Police Department promptly initiated an investigation into the shooting.
Early in the process, authorities indicated that a possible suspect had been identified and that several witnesses were cooperating with the investigation. Despite this initial progress, details regarding a motive for the shooting were not immediately released to the public.
