Jason Monnier, a 35-year-old white man, spent his final hours in a modest home on Northwest 14th Street in Oklahoma City, where he was living with his mother and stepfather while the house sat on the market with a “for sale” sign out front. In the early morning darkness of Sunday, July 21, 2013, neighbors heard gunfire echo through the 1600 block of Northwest 14th and someone called police, initially unsure whether anyone had actually been hit.
