On October 13, 2014, Tyodis Dewayne Wright, age 36, was found dead in Phillips Park in northeast Oklahoma City. Wright had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was discovered by police after a call was made to check the welfare of a person found lying in the park, located near N.E. 27th and N. Prospect. The homicide was the 48th recorded in Oklahoma City for that year.
