In the autumn of 2014, a discovery was made in an Oklahoma City park that marked the beginning of a lingering mystery. On October 13th, police were dispatched to Phillips Park in the northeast part of the city after receiving a call to check on the welfare of a person seen lying in the park. There, they found the body of 36-year-old Tyodis Dewayne Wright, a Black male. It was immediately apparent that his death was not from natural causes.
