In northeast Oklahoma City, the discovery of a young man's body on August 23, 2016, marked the city's 49th homicide of the year. The deceased was later identified as 26-year-old Carlos Castro, a Hispanic male. His body was found with fatal gunshot wounds near the intersection of Northeast 16th Street and Coltrane Road.
