On May 26, 2007, Eugene Drake, 27, was fatally shot in Oklahoma City. The incident took place near the Will Rogers Courts, a public housing area, where officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Drake suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, Drake was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation suggested that Drake may have been targeted, though the motive for the shooting remained unclear at the time.
