In the early morning hours of October 12, 2013, the life of 36-year-old Benny Antronell Dean, a Black male, was cut short in a fatal shooting in northeast Oklahoma City. The incident unfolded around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of N.E. 28th Street and Eastern Avenue, a time when the city was otherwise quiet.
