In the summer of 2017, the life of 25-year-old Timothy Niedo, a male resident of Oklahoma City, was tragically cut short. On the evening of June 15th, events unfolded in the parking lot of the Meridian Ridge Apartment complex that would end in his untimely death. Witnesses later recounted hearing the sound of two gunshots, described as 'two pops,' and seeing two men running from one of the apartment buildings.
One of the men tragically fell into some bushes.
What followed was a chilling act of violence. The second man reportedly stood over the fallen Timothy Niedo and fired several more shots before making his escape from the scene. When law enforcement arrived, they found Niedo deceased in the parking lot. The investigation into his death quickly pointed towards a domestic dispute as the motive.
Interviews with Niedo's girlfriend at the time revealed a troubled history with her ex-boyfriend, Randy Terry. She informed police that Terry, 34 years old at the time, was upset about her new relationship with Niedo and had previously made threats concerning it. This information led investigators to focus on Terry as the primary suspect in the fatal shooting.
Just four days after Timothy Niedo's death, on June 19, 2017, an arrest warrant was officially filed for Randy Terry on a complaint of first-degree murder. However, despite the warrant and the efforts of law enforcement, Terry managed to evade capture. He has remained a fugitive in the years that have followed, with his whereabouts still unknown. The case remains open, with law enforcement still seeking information that could lead to his arrest and bring a measure of closure to the family and friends of Timothy Niedo.
