On December 21, 2012, 25-year-old William "Bill" Schnittman was murdered in Oklahoma City during a tragic incident that also involved his assailant's death. Schnittman, a talented athlete from Michigan who had aspirations to compete in the Olympics, was fatally shot by Darrell Kurt Wilson, the estranged husband of Bill's girlfriend, Rachel Wilson.
