In the early morning hours of December 17, 2016, a fire engulfed a home on Northwest 80th Street in Oklahoma City. Firefighters, responding to a 911 call around 5 a.m., discovered a horrific scene inside the burning house. They found the bodies of 41-year-old Julie Mason and her eight-year-old son, Keagon Bruce. While Mason was pronounced dead at the scene, Keagon was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries later that day.
