Sydney Carter Snow, Jr., a 29-year-old police officer with the Milwaukee Police Department, tragically lost his life on January 30, 1982, while performing his duties. Officer Snow was serving a minor civil warrant and addressing a licensing violation at Shirley and Sony's Pool Hall in Milwaukee when the incident occurred. Upon presenting the warrant, the suspect resisted and produced a. 25 caliber handgun. During the ensuing struggle, Officer Snow was shot and killed by the suspect.
